Love the Lampliter! When we left this year, we already made our reservation for next year. The staff is wonderful (thank you Tim, Ryan, Tara, everyone), and the rooms and facilities very well kept & super clean. Management keeps the prices very fair yet continually appears to re-invest in improvements. We now have a small group of acquaintances we see every year, and the kids just love it. We also have recommended our spot to other family and friends, and everyone is always pleased. It's so nice to come home to our happy place every August!
Just returned from week stay..1st will start by saying the staff was very kind..Room was ok..It was clean..i would have like to see a bit more in terms of updating of room..(bed spread...room curtain(Sliding door)...and ditch the carpet for flooring (this ALL hotels should do at this point)..Nice flooring would have gotten a 4th star rating here
Maid service was ok..however on 1 day, appears bedspread was just pulled up without any of the sheets under it made...
My issue...Smoke.....I am a non smoker...The last thing i want when walking into Motel office is get hit with the stench of cigarette smoke....Heavy heavy smoke....Now, in all fairness, my room did not smell like smoke...Certain parts of the motel had a wafting of smoke, but may just be other patrons....Will it keep me from coming back here again?..possibly...Had I walked in off the street and was looking to inquire on a room, I would have walked right out due to the smell ..I was not able to do so as I booked this room via phone without ever visiting..Thats on me..
I hope management is open to some of this advice - Airing out that office area - The smelling of cleanliness goes a LONG way in this business.....To a smoker, this obviously may not be a big deal, but A fresh smelling office would certainly mean A LOT to any Non Smoker.
