Great service!

by K Y

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at Larkspur and the service was great. In particular, we had hauled a bunch of our son's ski equipment back from L.A. and needed help getting everything up to our room for our stay. GURPINDER was at the desk that day and immediately volunteered to help us unload the car, which he did. After getting the unwieldy gear (including a snow board, boots, two sets of skis in a bag and all of our luggage) onto the cart he cheerfully pushed/pulled it to the elevator and unloaded everything neatly in our room. He also was the person who fielded our reservation call and worked out a daily room price that worked for us. We feel he is a great employee at Larkspur and look forward to seeing him on future trips.

Employees were nice but hotel is hotel and not the cleanest

by CleanFreakToo

I don't like to write back reviews, but cleanliness is the most important thing to me in a hotel. Different people come through the rooms, so it really important hotels thoroughly clean every aspect of the room. The floors were very dirty. My and my 2-year old's feet were black after walking barefoot in the room. So we wore shoes and only took them off when we went to sleep. Their air conditioning unit in the room was also very dusty/dirty and the cabinets were sticky. The hotel rooms really need an upgrade. The furniture and entire room itself looks like it was built in the 80's. If you are a clean freak like myself (I'm a healthcare professional), don't stay here. I usually stay at a Marriott and did not know there was one practically down the street. Marriotts have been generally very clean from my experience. I really hope this hotel gets a renovation in the near future. Or make sure your cleaning staff sanitizes, cleans the floors, and wipes every surface. I only gave this place a two-star and not a one-star because the front desk people were nice.
