Got the basics wrong

by Guille12

We stayed here for 1 night, on a quick visit to Chiclayo. But the hotel had issues with two main things: water and wifi.

Water: In the morning, I was never able to get hot water in the shower, and when reported, was told with much disregard that I had to wait for 5min. After 35min of the water running and still no hot water or improved response from concierge, I had to get the shower in a friends room.

Wifi: it was slow, and came and left often, bing very annoying to stream anything or even stay connected.

The room was clean, but the breakfast service was very slow, due to an understaffed kitchen.

At check-out, when raising this issues, there was never the slightest sympathy to extend a simple apology (hey, things can go wrong sometimes, but you at least say sorry).

I would never stay again in this hotel, and would recommend against it for everyone that asks. For 45 usd you can get a clean room with hot water and good service somewhere else.

Hotel in transition with a long way to go

Hotel now has a new name and is supposedly being renovated. It is still pretty shabby and worse not clean. The mat in the bathroom looked like it had never been changed. The plus, it had air conditioning which didn't malfunction until just before we left. The staff was very nice. Rooms facing the main road are noisy so if you do stay here ask for one on the side
