A disaster

by J8288YAcindys

The hotel is old, the rooms smell, the elevator situation is odd. I called on Friday before we arrived to make a dinner reservation. I was told we didn't need one. We booked there because of the great looking restaurant with breakfast buffet and views. The roof top is on the 4th floor and is not the roof. The restaurant was closed because there was no management. The hostess was there but no serving staff. It was chaos and the hotel is in a business section of town where there are not many places to eat in walking distance. So, we were unhappy with the lack of communication, the restaurant, the hotel...

Convenient to Georgetown shopping

by amysR8007EY

We stayed at Le Meridien for a long weekend to do college tours. It's a very convenient location, especially for Georgetown and for shopping. Its walkable but an Uber is also only $10-$15 to Georgetown. Very comfortable rooms and quiet. The hotel starts at the 4th floor so there is no street noise. We had a nice view of DC from our room. Service was very good-- we had a problem with our door lock and they came up in 5 minutes. There is no in room coffee service, but they will provide on request. Also, very hot and very good coffee is available in the morning in the reception area. Apples and cookies were also available at times.
