We visited for a week, and we had a wonderful time! Debbie and Steve have created a very welcoming environment where guests can feel comfortable while also being close to nature. Leaves & Lizards was our home for a week while we did activities at the retreat and visited other sites in the area. We stayed in the Butterfly cabin, which was very comfortable. We took advantage of the chance to milk the cows, collect eggs from the chickens, and go horseback riding, all of which we never had done before.
This is a great "out of the way" place to experience the real Costa Rica. Highly recommended!
Went on a yoga retreat with 12 women. Stayed in a comfortable cabins with hammocks, outdoor showers, and surrounded by the call of birds and the morning rooster. We could view the horses from our front porch.Every meal was homemade food, served by friendly staff. We got to know everyone by the end. The equine program was tremendous. I am a horse person already and I learned so much from the kind of experience they provide with the horses. They were very accommodating to our desires to take day trips and to help us figure out the logistics. Very personal, flexible service.
