Just got back from a 3 night stay at the Lodge Alley Inn, a group of converted warehouses in the French Quarter of the city. Great location is about the only positive thing I can offer. Room was interesting with uncomfortable odds and end pieces of furniture, some of which the upholstery coming apart. When seated on couch the bottom cushions slide out which drops the back pillow. Really uncomfortable. We were overlooking the street and the two windows which were filfithy and wooden blinds that were broken. The walls dividing the old warehouse into separate guest rooms doesn't have any sound proofing or insulation sufficient to keep you for hearing your neighbors conversation of TV so don't expect privacy even during the most intimate moments. For one hour and one hour only beginning at 4pm they offer warm chocolate chip cookies and sherry. They call it "tea time" but having a British wife and having lived in the UK for several years before retiring we thought this was a Joke. Better if they offered cheese & crackers with the Sherry and use the Chocolate chip cookies as a bedtime treat. As stated at title and beginning of review...great for location but negative for all else.

We used a friends timeshare to stay here. Close to everything within walking distance.
My minor issues I had was the thermostat wouldn’t go below 67 degrees and it was hard to get the room cool enough at night.
The court yard right outside our door was nice.
I would stay there again.
