Shabby Chic with big price

by LyndallDemere

This hotel has gone up up up in price while the maintenance has stopped years ago. A cleaning fee of $300. Was charged and upon checkout we were asked to put all dishes in unit in dishwasher! No changing of sheets in a ocean front unit on a 5 day stay. No changing of wet towels by maid service, no trash pick up, clean up the whole 5 days. I had to take towels to front desk, and trash out to bins.
Linens were old, rugs in the bathrooms very old and torn edges, no rubber on backside from washing. Decks are splintered, warm and not repaired as was seating. Kitchen paint peeling off cabinets. Pillows on bed heavy as lead from being too too old.
So until price is adjusted to content chose something else.

Great spot for a family reunion

by Leah F

We recently spent a week at Mainsail Beach Inn. We enjoyed being just steps from the beach and the access to chairs, umbrellas and sports equipment. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We cooked meals in the nicely-equipped kitchen and also ate at nearby restaurants; it was nice to have those options. The hot tub is great, too. We appreciated that the resort has a policy of no noise after 10 pm.
