Reviews

Great location in bay

by YvonneMoscow

We had the cheapest type of room which was large, comfortable and had a very nice ocean view. The resort is on a huge terrain and there are plenty of sunbeds especially on the beach. We loved the pool. We booked B&B and tried to get a reservation for one of the a la carte restaurants which was impossible (all were fully booked) given we had only a 3 night stay. As the dinner buffet was very expensive we settled for room service which was a lot more affordable. We ate it on our balcony. The hotel´s beach is quite large and nice. There is drinks service on the beach and you have yo use service flags to get your orders in - nice idea. Breakfast was very tasty and varied.

Great end to our honeymoon

A fabulous 6 nights spent here, with super accommodation and amenities overlooking the beach/ocean.

The pool was exceptionally clean, peaceful and offered lovely views from the edge of the infinity pool. Sun-beds weren't a problem to obtain and we usually got the same ones each day. Waiters would come round to offer pastries and drinks in the morning, with food and drinks during the day in a non-intrusive fashion.

The private beach was again immaculately clean with an array of sun-beds available - very comfy and a good design. The beach service was great too, operating a flag system when you wanted service for drinks - great idea!

We visited the main restuarant for breakfast daily, with all the usual suspects (continental, cooked, etc.) available in abundance. Always hot, clean and they cooked eggs to order too. The breakfast was great, highly recommended.

For lunch we visited the beach restaurant once - La Maree - with a great selection on offer, exquisite sea views and super service. Again, lunch was included in the AI package. One day we visited the main restaurant for lunch which again offered a good selection, but we mainly ordered wraps/clubs and chips for lunch around the Quarter Deck Bar.

For Dinner, we predominantly went to the main restaurant. The selection of food available was vast and well cooked/seasoned in my opinion - themed nights were on offer and this mixed things up which was nice. On one evening, we visited the Asian restaurant and that was just lovely! All in all, great food and service in both. The main restaurant lacked a little for vegetarians as feedback unless you were happy with salad and pasta variants each night - not problem for me, but was for my vegetarian wife! Pescatarians by the by, you're in for a treat!

The slight downside is that there are other restaurants too, but these have to be booked in advance at reception. In theory, this is no problem and we've stayed in similar hotels before; in practice, aside from the one night in the Asian restaurant they were all fully booked. Still, not enough to hamper my 5 star review as this was an excellent hotel.

Awesome weather by the way! Not that the hotel controls this of course, but you get a lovely breeze around the hotel and the pool!
