Set a block off the Strip, this Marriott property is refreshingly family-friendly amidst the casino hotels filling the streets of Las Vegas. The hotel is comprised of two high-rise building that houses 768 guestrooms. Inspired by the South of France, elegant villas with one to three bedrooms are available. Larger families, or reunion groups, will enjoy the separate bedrooms, lock-off capabilities within suites and spacious living areas. Master bedrooms have a luxurious whirlpool bath with jets and a separate shower. Fully equipped kitchens contain all the necessities of cooking, including plates and silverware. Living rooms don large, flat-screen televisions and DVD players. Grocery shopping services will fill your refrigerator for you. A closet hides a stackable washer and dryer unit. Dining areas seat four people and there are two in each condo-style unit. These rooms have all the comforts of home and more.
The hotel has a heated rooftop pool that overlooks the Strip, offering beautiful views of the airport and mountain range just outside the city. An adjacent hot tub and a poolside bar are on the same level. The area is a hotspot for kids, and they swarm around, going back and forth between the hot tub and the pool. Pick up your towel before you enter the outdoor, stone pool pavilion.
Maze — a children’s indoor play area — is on the lobby level. This kid haven presents air hockey, television shows, arcade and video games. A marketplace shop sells travel accessories, beverages and snacks by the front desk. Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is down the block, but as the distances look larger on the ground than up in your sky-high hotel room, a complimentary shuttle takes guests from the hotel to the shopping center. This is a popular site for families as it has many casual and themed restaurants, like Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille or Ocean One Bar& Grille.

This is my wife and my 3rd or 4th time here. We don't gamble, but play golf and see the shows. Also we always have a rental car, so mobility is no problem.
The Grand Chateau is an anonymous tower block, just off the strip and near the back door of the MGM Grand. We arrived, had our stack of luggage (for a 6-week golf and skiing road trip) unloaded, rental car valet parked (no access to patrons) and were speedily checked in. Apartment/Villa is large and kitchen well-equipped. Elevators are surprisingly prompt for such a large property. Concierge is helpful and informative. You really need transport, if you plan to buy any groceries to self-cater. Otherwise, it's a great base for a Vegas visit.
Stayed for one week and the room was excellent. The club lounge was awesome and the staff superb. I would definitely stay again as it was excellent to walk to many sites shopping and restaurants. The staff from check to lounge were all very attentive.
