Only One Night

by kalsec

My wife and I stayed at the Martha Washington for one night on our way to another destination. The staff could not have been nicer -- very courteous and professional. From the outside, the inn looked a little different than I expected. It's right on the road in Abingdon. I had a different image from the pic -- not a complaint, just an observation. We ate dinner there, and it was very good. I will say that the menu in the restaurant was different than the one online. This wasn't a big deal, but it surprised us. The food was very good, and the staff, again, was great. We also had breakfast there before we left. It felt more mass produced than dinner, but it was fine. The room had a very comfortable bed and great shower. I recommend it if in Abingdon.

Not happy with the service

by beachgirl12345

Room was very small. No room service. Our coffee pot was not working and when I called the front desk and asked for two cups of coffee i wasd told to go to the restaurant to the coffee bar which meant getting dressed to do so. It was not replaced and had the same prob;lem our second day. I reported again to the front dest and got a roll of the eyes and a look of oh well. Our mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The sheets kept coming loose as the bottom was not fitted.
The hotel itself is beautiful and located close to everything.
