Nestled in Ponderosa Pine Forest, Maswik Lodge is only a quarter-mile from the Grand Canyon’s edge. The modern lodge is split into North and South sections. Motel-style rooms are open year-round and rustic cabins are available in the summer months. Rooms feature televisions and a full bath. North section rooms are more spacious and offer in-room coffee, refrigerators, air-conditioning and cable television. Cabins are small, with ceiling fans and showers. A large, wooden cafeteria opens early and closes late. The front desk staff is happy to guide families in the right direction toward area trailheads, mule rides or helicopter tours.

Located in Grand Canyon Village, AZ its a great place to stay for those wanting to explore the Grand Canyon further. The rooms are literally a few minutes walk from the edge of the canyon with trails to walk along. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pizza in the restaurant was one of the best i have ever had although a little slow being served. We only stayed here one night but would have stayed longer if we weren't on a fairly tight schedule.

Good place to say, right in the park but a fair walk to rim but there is a shuttle bus if you want to take that but it can get a little crowded, the gift shop in the lodge was very nice and the staff all were friendly. the beds were dated and a little hard.
