The 4-star Mercure Firenze Centro, is a good choice for families seeking convenience to all that Florence has to offer with a central hotel location. Mom, dad and the kids not only have a choice of great restaurants, shopping, and gelato shops surrounding them, but can easily walk to all of the city’s great sites. Mercure Firenze Centro is only steps from Florence’s Santa Maria Novella train station, making it easy to arrive and depart if Florence is part of an extended Italy trip. The hotel is part of AccorHotels.

The 85 spacious guestrooms and suites are clean with all the needed amenities, including air-conditioning, plenty of space, and family-friendly configurations. Though the hotel features a very modern and contemporary design, part of its building includes the Cinema Apollo, which dates back to 1936, according to Lucia Padavon, General Manager of Mercure Firenze Centro.

Reviews

Perfect location & spacious room!

by marwaishaq

We were in florence for 3 nights and were looking for a hotel that is close to the station and the city center! It was like 8-10 minutes walk to the center and literally a 5 minute walk to the main station!
The room was spacious compared to the other hotels we’ve been to in Italy.

Close to Train Station, but poor signage to locate it

by Retired-Unretired

I thought the hotel was modern, clean, good breakfast options and close to the train station a 5 min walk. When you locate Via Nazionale from the train station, it is on your left hand side.
There is no luminescent signage to locate this hotel. Look for the Apollo sign. You will walk right by this place as it is next door to the Apollo Theatre which is closed down and a lot of graffiti drawings on the front of the Apollo makes you overlook this hotel. Another great landmark to locate the Mercure is the Plaza Italia Clothing Store is across the street.

Family Activities

The hotel doesn't provide any specific activities for kids and families onsite.
