Located in Boyne Falls, just south of the charming Lake Michigan harbor town of Petoskey, sits alpine-inspired Mountain Grand Lodge. The decor is Alpine chic — vintage European ski posters, archival ski photos and handpainted floral murals — imagine a Swiss or Austrian version of a Great Wolf Waterpark resort. The Alpine theme continues in the guestrooms, decorated in carved wood furnishings and cuckoo clocks.
There’s a wide selection of onsite eateries, from the Snack Shack, inside Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, to a large cafeteria and Everett’s Restaurant & Lounge. Located in the main lobby, Everett’s is popular for its breakfast buffet, where you can fuel up before hitting the slopes.
The 220 guestrooms, along with one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, include cable access with 54-inch plasma televisions. Complimentary newspapers, Wi-Fi, coffeemakers and hair dryers, as well as parking, are provided. There’s an onsite coin operated laundry facility, too.

I stayed here two nights for a conference. I stayed in a king room with jacuzzi and fireplace. The checkin and room were first rate. No complaints. I do take issue with the price. I received a discounted price as part of the conference. That is a joke. I paid a ridiculous price for the room and they added on a resort fee. I didn’t use any resort amenities and if I had , I would have been charged extra. In addition our meals were part of the conference- some of the worst food I have ever eaten. And I know we paid good money for that. I won’t be back.
Our condo was awesome for the price. We had 11 people. Beds were great! Well stocked with items you will need such as cookware. Only problem we had was ants were crazy in the house! 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.
