Getting There and Around
We recommend that families staying in Myrtle Beach either bring their own vehicles or reserve rental cars. Most attractions in the area are located along highways and can only be reached by car. Here's the good news: It's easy to find your way around the city by car.
The Myrtle Beach Airport, served by Delta, Continental, Northwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines and US Airways, is just a short drive from the center of town.
If you're not driving, check with your hotel to see if it offers shuttle service to and from the airport. Families who don't wish to stray far from their beachfront hotels may save money by choosing to get around by cab rather than rental car -- but keep in mind that area cabs aren't cheap. Rates start at $2.40 per mile, plus $1 for each additional passenger.
