Fantastic place to stay!!!

by bkulie

We found this place to be a gem! It was super close to town, an older hotel that when we opened the door, I thought I was at a 5 star hotel! All updated and super clean! The staff was friendly and helpful and I’ve never been in a quieter hotel, granted it was off season, but I will return here again!

Like a B&B, but with rooms.

Requested a 2 queen bed room, and was assigned one in the main house. It's on 2nd floor, but what a quaint space. There was a large bedroom, hallway, huge bathroom and sitting room. Two TV's, reuerigerator, all the amenities. Has an outside pool and ample parking. This was a special room, and most of the standard rooms are the old two story motel types, U shaped around the pool. The setting seems to be for families, close to the water, but BBQ's and games abound the property. One nice feature is what they call a community room, where travelers, especially those with kitchen set ups, can leave their left over products, like ketchup, mustard, bread, eggs, ice cream, etc in a community room that can then be used by anyone. staff is very helpful and friendly. Payment is expected upfront, so it's an easy process for checkin and check out. Away from the main drag, so nice and in the woods. Standard rooms have balconies or terraces with chairs and rockers for relaxing. Only problem was it was a cold night, and had issues getting the two heaters to work. Also, therein 24/7 coffee, but no breakfast included.
