A New Way to Save on Baggage Fees

Traveling long distances with our families remains difficult as high-priced airfare and more fees for baggage and seat assignments continue as the new normal. A company is hoping to ease the pain by launching a program to cut some of the extra fees by placing advertising on your suitcases.

Orion Travel Technologies’ “The Orion Mobile Luggage Billboard” will pay your baggage fees if you carry their branded luggage. Users pay the company $19.99 for annual membership before receiving two hardshell luggage pieces: a 21-inch carry-on and a 29-inch bag for checking in. The set will be branded with an advertising logo of the user’s choosing. Each time a user travels, up to six times per year, Orion will send a $50 gift card to cover the costs of checking baggage.

Before enrolling, be sure to understand airline baggage fees, as some charge for carry-ons and some still provide free luggage service. Read Baggage Fees Per U.S. Carrier. Also, read 10 Ways to Save on Baggage Fees for more ways to save.
