The sprawling five hotel resort that is Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas is transforming its Coral Tower into a new, modern hotel concept. The first of a $20-million phase kicked off in August with plans for the renovations and transformation to be complete in 2017.

Reopening as The Corals Atlantis, the improved Coral Tower hotel will be a sleek and modern hotel aimed toward the adults-only market. Families will be welcomed to stay at the hotel, but its pool will become a Vegas-style adults-only social pool with a live DJ spinning tunes, floating daybeds, and poolside cabanas with drink service. Guest rooms at the Corals will feature a soft palette of ocean hues combined with coral and sandy tones with new flooring and furnishings. The transformation is scheduled to be complete by spring 2017, with the hotel remaining open throughout the renovations (which includes the lobby).
