The much-anticipated first phase of Brightline passenger speed train in South Florida is nearly complete and will begin testing in West Palm Beach, Florida. The express train service is expected to connect West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale and Miami by mid-2017. To test the tracks and brand-new trains, West Palm will begin offering local service.

Brightline will be a 235-mile rail route connecting South Florida to Orlando when the project is completed. Passengers will be able to travel between Miami and Orlando in about 2 hours, as well as connect South Florida communities with less traffic. New train stations will feature car rental counters and dining services to provide more ease and comfort to travelers. Trains will feature two classes of transportation, with free Wi-Fi and snacks and drinks available.
