Broadmoor Purchasing Seven Falls Attraction

The Broadmoor hotel in Colorado Springs, Co., is purchasing one of the area’s most popular attraction, Seven Falls. Located a mile from the hotel, Seven Falls is a series of seven waterfalls in South Cheyenne Canyon in Pikes Peak that are illuminated at night. A 224-stairway or an express elevator brings visitors to the top of the falls.

Seven Falls and 1,300 acres of land has belonged to the Hill family since 1946. After closing due to flood damage last fall, the hotel will rebuild the attraction and hopes to reopen by the spring of 2015.

The Broadmoor will look to enhance the falls and may develop a hiking trail to the falls from the hotel, as well as provide shuttle service to guests to bring them to the falls.

The Broadmoor has operated in Colorado Springs since 1918. It features more than 600 hotel rooms, suites and cottages, as well as an array of golf courses, tennis courts, outdoor recreation and restaurants and shops.
