The Penitentiary Glen Nature Center in Kirtland, Ohio, has developed a new exhibit featuring a nature-themed Candy Land board game floor. Visitors between now and Jan. 3, 2016, can play free as they explore the nature center.

Featured in the center’s “Wild Days of Winter – A Taste of Seasons,” the colorful floor takes visitors indoors and outdoors in a hands-on exhibit. Visitors become players on the life-size game board, drawing cards and being guided along with different activities. Peppermint Trail, for example, places guests in a winter setting with snowshoes. The nature center features more than 8 miles of tails, a Nature Store, and arts and crafts.

During the exhibit, Saturdays will feature free activities from 1 to 3 p.m., including this weekend’s Trains!, Maple Syrup Madness on Dec. 13, Fabulous Fruits on Dec. 20, Great Grapes Day on Dec. 27, and Bee Sweet! on Jan. 3. The exhibit is open from 12 to 5 p.m. daily, except Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
