Carowinds has announced a new addition to the park for 2018: Camp Snoopy!

Formerly Planet Snoopy, Camp Snoopy will feature five new rides and an 8,000-square-foot playground — all with a wilderness theme and setting.

New rides will include Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies, in which kids will bounce around the popular PEANUTS character; Kite Eating Tree, which travels up and down a tree; PEANUTS Trailblazers, a mini-speedway ride; Camp Bus, in which little ones will buckle up for an up-and-down ride; and Woodstock Whirlybirds, a ride in a giant bird’s nest.

The new playground, Beagle Scout Acres, will offer hands-on features and slides for toddlers. It will be located in a safe, fenced-in area.

Other improvements to the newly expanded Camp Snoopy will include updates to the Snack Shack and child care facility, as well as the addition of a Pre-K Pass. The pass will provide free admission to children age 3 to 5, and is now available.
