Cedar Point has announced a new coaster, Rougarou, expected to open in 2015.

The floor-less ride will excel to speeds of 60 miles per hour, utilizing the former track of Mantis, which has operated at Cedar Point since 1996 (it will officially close on Oct. 19, 2014).

And “just when guests think the ride is over, the steel beast will take them through a 360-degree flat spin, tight and twisty turns and a figure-eight finale,” according to a press release.

Visitors must be at least 54 inches tall to ride Rougarou.

Additionally, Hotel Breakers will introduce several enhancements in 2015, following a two-year renovation. These include a new exterior, remodeled rooms with new furniture and an outdoor water play area.
