The French Caribbean island of Martinique will be easier to get to from the northeast when new direct flights begin on discount airline operator Norwegian.

Norwegian will provide nonstop service on 186-seat Boeing 737 aircraft, offering free Wi-Fi on its flights. The airline will be flying from the northeast U.S. daily through John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Logan International Airport (BOS). Three direct flights to Fort-de-France, Martinique, will be offered from JFK in New York on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Two weekly flights will also be offered from BWI in Baltimore/Washington, D.C., on Mondays and Fridays, and two more from Boston on Wednesdays and Sundays.
