Disney theme parks have been celebrating Star Wars Days with much success, and now guests aboard Disney Cruise Lines will have a chance to enjoy a Day at Sea with Star Wars.

Beginning with 2016 cruises aboard the Disney Fantasy, passengers will enjoy day-long celebrations with the heroes and villains from Star Wars. The special event will take place on each 8-day sailing in the Western Caribbean and will include a deck party, character meet-and-greets, Star Wars-themed activities for kids such as a Jedi Training Academy, family competitions, special food and beverage pairings and, of course, Stars Wars merchandise. Passengers will also have a chance to watch all six of the Star Wars films and the animated Disney series, “Star Wars Rebels.” Even adults will enjoy a special Mos Eisley Catina setting with Star Wars-themed cocktails in the adult nightclub in the evenings. The event culminates with a special laser, light and pyrotechnics show.

Star Wars Day at Sea will take place on Jan. 9 to 23, Feb. 6 to 20; Mar. 5 to 19 and Apr. 2 to 16, 2016 sailings aboard Disney Fantasy. The ship will depart from Port Canaveral in Florida and visit the Western Caribbean, with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Disney Cruise Line is currently accepting bookings for the cruises.
