First Hotel Water Park in Mexico Debuts in Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya’s warm Caribbean waters have long been a draw to American travelers, and now, one of its all-inclusive hotels has added a water park for visitors to enjoy.

The Sando Caracol Eco Experience Resort in Playa del Carmen in Mexico’s Riviera Maya recently expanded its water park to feature a total of 17 water slides and games. The new water slides include seven open and tubular slides for teens and adults, as well as five smaller water slides for little ones. A splash playground with water spouts is located near the resort’s activities pool, one of three swimming pools on the property.

The all-inclusive resort is truly family friend with a kids club open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., eco activities for kids to teach them about the tropical environment, a baby club for ages 2 to 3, teen activities designed specifically for ages 13 to 17, water sports, tennis and more. Nearly 1,000 room options are available, including 51 room in the a family wing.
