This weekend, Great Wolf Lodge will open its first West Coast indoor waterpark resort. Located in Anaheim, California, the 105,000-square-foot resort will be mere minutes from Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure and Knott’s Berry Farm.

Great Wolf Lodge Southern California’s main feature is its indoor water park, which includes the multi-level Fort Mackenzie water fort with treetop slides, suspension bridges, swinging cargo nets and spray stations, as well as its signature dumping bucket that drops hundreds of gallons of water every 4 minutes. The water park features a gigantic wave pool, a water playground for all ages, and an indoor surf simulator for surfing and body boarding, as well as Great Wolf’s collection of water slides.

For thrill-seeking kids, the four-story Mountain Edge Raceway allows visitors to race one another down on body surfing mats. The Wolf Tail, a 360-degree ride with a vertical plunge, begins with a trap door and takes riders through an enclosed tunnel. Families can enjoy the River Canyon Run raft ride along 476 feet or meander slowly around the Crooked Creek lazy river. More slides include Alberta Falls’ four-story tubular slide, Coyote Cannon’s 40-foot spiral flume, and the six-story Howling’ Tornado funnel slide.

Of course, Great Wolf Lodge Southern California offers more than a water slide, and guests will find more than 100 games in the arcade, mini golf, bowling, a kids’ spa, story time, and its signature MagiQuest live-action adventure game.

Stay tuned for more updates from the grand opening weekend.
