The special Transylvania Suite package is available for a whopping $2,995 for one night, but guests receive a butler to escort you to the skull-adorned suite. a gift collection of old and new horror film DVDs, a spirited welcome amenity from the pastry chef, blood-curdling cocktails for two delivered to the room followed by a three-course, wine-paired dinner and a spidery-inspired dessert, all served ensuite. A turndown surprise has been described as “diabolically concocted.” In the morning, guests receive breakfast in bed and a Bloody Scary drink.

The Hay-Adams, located on 16th Street, overlooks the White House and is minutes from Washington’s best attractions and collection of Smithsonian museums. Dare to try it out?
