Historic Hotels of America has inducted four new hotels to its collection of historic properties dating back to the founding of our country. Historic Hotels of America now includes nearly 300 properties in 46 states.

New additions include the Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia, originally built in 1778 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register; Penn Wells Hotel in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, built in 1869; Hotel Saranac, a Curio Collection by Hilton Hotel at Saranac Lake, New York, built in 1927; and the Alpenhof Lodge in Teton Village, Wyoming, built in 1965.

Hotels must be at least 50 years old and designated as a National Historic Landmark or listed in the National register of Historic Places to be eligible for membership. Hotels also must maintain their authenticity, architectural integrity and sense of place. The new additions bring the list of Historic Hotels to 298.
