InterContinental Takes Over Holiday Inn Resort in Orlando

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) added the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark to its portfolio. The 777-room, all-suite hotel is the largest property in the Holiday Inn Resort family and features one, two and three bedroom suites, all offering either a kitchenette or full kitchen.

Located one mile from Walt Disney World Resort and only 10 miles from Universal Orlando Resort, the property offers regular free park shuttles; more than 20,000 square foot waterpark with poolside cabanas; various on-site restaurants including the poolside Lagoon Grill and Bar, Lakeside Caf? and Hideaway Lounge; and family-friendly activities including pool-side entertainment and Kids Club with activities hosted throughout the day.

Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark also offer the new Batman Laser Challenge, in which children and adults can work alongside Batman to take on The Joker as he threatens Gotham City, as well as a multi-million-dollar 4-D Theater where guests can enjoy a thrilling extra-dimensional experience, including “Angry Birds: The 4-D Experience” and “Ice Age No Time for Nuts.”

The property is currently undergoing a $30 million renovation and is expected to be completed by year end. Rooms are available from $204 per night.
