Starwood’s Le Meridien and Westin Hotels & Resorts have launched two new family programs, focusing on cultural and educational surroundings and activities for both children and their parents. The lux hotel chains, like most, have witnessed a surge in multigenerational travel.

Le Meridien Family Kids Club
Kids’ play areas have tree houses, mural walls and vertical gardens or LEGO walls, plus abundant natural lighting. Separate “Relax Zones” offer quiet activities and comfy cushions for naps, while artful toys, such as local musical instruments, and interactive herb gardens add to the fun.

Earlier in 2015, Le Meridien announced a partnership with LEGO, providing welcome gifts to children up to age 12.

The Westin Family Program
This program focuses on the brand’s six pillars of well-being: eat well, play well, work well, feel well, move well and sleep well. The program features interactive activities for families, such as cooking classes at the Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa.

The new programs are available at several resorts internationally, with plans in the pipeline for three more U.S. resorts: Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes, California. The program will also debut at the Westin Resort & Spa in Los Cabos.
