The Carlyle Inn in Los Angeles has reopened following a $1-million renovation that has transformed it into a black and white Art Deco boutique property.

Formerly a BEST WESTERN, Pacifica Hotels took over the hotel, giving it a modernized deco look. Black-and-white graphics, oversized black-and-white umbrellas, gray-and-balck hexagon-patterned tiled floors and a customized art installation featuring floating bowler hats channel its 1920s look. In rooms, bright white furniture merges with metal accessories, mirrors and pinstripes. Guests can also enjoy a rooftop sundeck with Astroturf and lounge chairs.

The Carlyle Inn is located near Beverly Hills.
