Margaritaville Taking Over Key West Resort

When singer Jimmy Buffett opened his first Margaritaville restaurant in Key West, Florida, in 1987, little did he know the brand would grow across the world and become seven destination resorts in the southeastern U.S. and Caribbean. Now, Margaritaville will expand its resorts into Key West when it takes over the Westin Resort and Marina.

The waterfront resort just steps from Duval Street in Key West will begin operating as a Margaritaville resort this month, with plans to completely renovate the 178-room resort into the Margaritaville Key West Resort and Marina. Renovation details have yet to be announced.
