MGM National Harbor opened over the weekend, bringing Las Vegas style entertainment and dining to the Washington, D.C. area. The $1.4-billion property includes a boutique hotel, 15 restaurants, a spa, a theater, curated art and a conservatory.

Opening on Dec. 8, MGM National Harbor in Maryland’s boutique hotel features 308 guest rooms, including 74 suites. Rooms are outfitted with two queen or a king bed. The property’s 15 restaurants combine casual and fine dining, led by celebrity chefs. Retail shopping and a resort-style pool are also located on the property. For entertainment and dining, the Conservatory at MGM National Harbor is a 15,000 square foot attraction featuring seasonally changing floral pieces, while the 3,000-seat Theater at MGM National Harbor will host traveling theater performances and live musical acts, such as Bruno Mars later this month.

Rates for the new property start at $229.
