MSC Cruises has announced MSC Seaside’s sister ship, MSC Seaview, will begin its voyage in the Mediterranean in June 2018.

The new ship will feature Super Plus Family Cabins, which will be three connecting units that sleep 10, and Super Family Staterooms, with two connecting rooms that sleep six. Other features for families will include several pools, an aqua park, and family lounge.

Unique to the ship will be a 360-degree promenade, which will include restaurants with both indoor and outdoor dining. Also unique is the Near Field Communication (NFC), which will allow parents to see the geo-location of their children via a cruise card, bracelet, or smartphone, as well as gain access to staterooms and make onboard payments. Interactive screens will also be dispersed throughout the ship to help guests select excursions and book shows and restaurant reservations.

Ports of call will include Genoa, Italy; Naples, Italy; Messina, Italy; Valleta, Malta; Barcelona, Spain; and Marseille, France.

MSC Voyager Club members can purchase tickets now and will receive five percent off the early booking fare, as well as the usual five percent Voyagers Club discount. Tickets can be purchased by the general public on July 18, 2016. Rates start from $699 per person, excluding government fees and taxes. Cruisers who book during the ship’s inaugural season will also receive five percent off the early booking fee (must book by Jan. 18, 2017).
