National Park Foundation Launches Urban Playgrounds

Continuing the National Park Foundation’s Find Your Park movement in 2015, the NPF has launched its new Urban Playgrounds guide profiling 24 national parks located in 24 major cities.

The Urban Playgrounds guide, part of the Owner’s Guide series, is targeted at the 80 percent of Americans who live in urban areas. The guide features natural, cultural and historical parks with imagery, ideas on what to do, fun facts, other nearby parks, and directions on getting to the parks. Included in the guide:

– Biscaye National Park, Miami
– Boston National Historic Park, Boston
– Casa Grande Ruins, Phoenix
– Castillo de San Marcos, Jacksonville, Florida
