Visitors to Niagara Falls area can now enjoy cruising the Niagara River aboard a paddleboat modeled after the steamboats making their way down the Mississippi River.

The Niagara Belle was purchased by Niagara Sunset Cruises, which is the sister company to Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Following a $1-million overhaul, the Niagara Belle began offering private charter trips in the Toronto Harbour on Lake Ontario and in the Upper Niagara River. Now the boat is offering public cruises from both the Canadian and American docks in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and Lewiston, New York.

The new Niagara cruises available include a two-hour lunch cruise with a buffet lunch, a two-hour Sunday Captain’s Cruise with a surf and turf meal, and a 90-minute wine tasting cruise, each departing from Ontario. Three-hour dinner cruises with buffet dinners, sunset views and dancing are available from both docks.
