Boston may be buried beneath snow during this harsh winter’s storms, but when the city melts, visitors will have new hotel options to choose from for their stay. Scheduled to open sometime this year, the new Boston hotels are budget-friendly name brands families trust.

Aloft Boston and Element Boston
The younger sister of the hip W Hotels, Aloft will share space with Element Boston, both Starwood brand properties, to bring two hotels to 5.6 acres near the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The $140-million Boston Waterfront development will bring 510 new hotel rooms to the area, with Aloft hosting the majority with 330 rooms.

Courtyard by Marriott Boston TD Garden and TownPlace Suites by Marriott
Located directly adjacent to the TD Garden, home of the Boston Bruins and Celtics, as well as a number of concerts, this new $165-million complex will allow guests to stay close to the action, choosing from comfortable rooms and suites by Marriott. The Courtyard property is expected to open first with 210 rooms, followed by TownPlace Suites, with kitchens and ample room to spread out during a stay.

Envoy Hotel, an Autograph Collection Hotel
This Marriott chain broke ground in Boston’s trendy Seaport District in 2013, with a budget of $70 million. The new 136-room hotel is six stories in height and features a roof deck with lounge for sunset views of the city and harbor, as well as retail and restaurants on the ground level.
