Considering a trip to The Palm Beaches in 2015? The area plans to launch three new hotels — one of which is already open — along with renovations at several other properties.
New Hotels
Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place
Only a half an hour from Palm Beach International Airport, Wyndham Grand Junior at Harbourside Place touts 179 guestrooms, many with balconies or terraces, mini refrigerators and sofa beds. It also has a rooftop pool and adjacent bar, where light bites are served. While the hotel isn’t on the beach, shuttle arrangements can be made via the concierge.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Delray Beach
At Fairfield Inn & Suites Delray Beach — expected to open in December — amenities will include complimentary breakfast, an onsite market and free Wi-Fi. All rooms will feature mini-refrigerators, and suites will offer microwaves. Best of all, the hotel will put families close to the beach.
Residence Inn West Palm Beach Downtown
When it opens in January, 2015, Residence Inn by Marriott will become the first extended-stay property in West Palm Beach. It will offer 152 guestrooms, many with fully equipped kitchenettes. Complimentary breakfast and an outdoor pool will add to the appeal for families.
Hotel Renovations
Boca Raton Resort & Club
Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is nearly finished with an update of the historic Cloister Building. The project — which cost $30 million — has added expansive bathrooms with rainfall showers, plus luxurious furnishings throughout. After the renovations are complete in November, 2014, the resort will focus on an update to the Health Club and Flow House Boca, a surfing school added in 2013. The school’s newest addition will be a dual-sided wave simulator.
Delray Sands Resort
The lobby and restaurant (which offers kids’ menus) at Delray Sands Resort are undergoing renovations, expected to be complete by December, 2014.
Other enhancements include four luxurious villas at Crane’s Beachhouse Hotel & Tiki Bar; a new spa at The Omphoy Ocean Resort & Spa and newly designed rooms at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa and The Colony Palm Beach.
