Due to high demand for both business and leisure travel, there’s a shortage of accommodations in Pittsburgh, according to a report by CBS Local Pittsburgh. Luckily, several hotels are expected to open in the coming year, or shortly thereafter.

Hotel Monaco
Kimpton Hotels and Resorts will open a property in Pittsburgh, complete with 248 guestrooms and the chain’s beloved amenities, such as complimentary wine hours and special perks for kids and pets. Reservations are available for stays Feb. 1, 2015 onward.

Drury Hotel
Drury Hotels has announced a new location at an old property in Pittsburgh — the hotel will be located in what was once the Federal Reserve on Grant Street. It will have approximately 206 guestrooms. Construction will begin in 2015, and is expected to be complete by mid-2016.

Distrikt Hotel
In the old Salvation Army Building, a boutique property called Distrikt Hotel will offer approximately 135 guestrooms. There’s only one other Distrikt Hotel in New York City.

Additionally, a Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites will join the mix.
