New Resort Opens in Downtown Disney

The newest hotel in Downtown Disney, B Resort officially opens today. Formerly the Royal Plaza Hotel, the renovated property offers 349 simple, yet stylish guestrooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of Disney World theme parks and entertainment. Accommodations, of which there are nine different configurations (including connecting units) offer free Wi-Fi access and snack boxes ($5 per treat). Many units also provide bunk beds and kitchenettes.

“B Resort & Spa is the first resort designation for the B Hotels & Resorts brand and we are thrilled to introduce travelers to such an incredible, unique product in one of the world’s top business and leisure travel destinations,” says Keith Wolling, the property’s general manager. “This is a four-star resort with attractive prices and a team that is committed to delivering unforgettable, customized experiences to virtually every type of traveler.”

Other family-friendly perks include an outdoor, heated swimming pool with zero-entry access and a separate area for kids; a kids club; tennis courts; a spa; an onsite restaurant, grab-and-go store and room service. Gaming consoles and loaner iPads are also available to guests.

Special introductory rates, which start at $99 per night, are available through September 30 (must be booked by June 30).
