New York-area airports have made it easier for nursing mothers to find a quiet space to breastfeed at its busiest airports with the introduction of new nursing pods.

The 4-by-8-foot Pumping & Nursing Pods feature room for a family of four and luggage, a locking door, two benches, and an electrical outlet for breast pumps. Created by Mamava, which promotes nursing, and installed by Seventh Generation, a baby care company based in Vermont, mothers can find the pods by using Mamava’s app. (The app is currently available on Apple and will be available on Android by mid-summer.)

The new pods opened this week at John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport and Newark Liberty Airport. Seventh Generation has plans to install the pods in other airports.
