Orlando’s attraction offerings continue to expand at a rapid rate, with a new $300-million SKYPLEX indoor entertainment complex slated to open in 2017. With its opening will also come the world’s tallest roller coaster: the Skyscraper.

Skyscraper will be the world’s first “Polercoaster” vertical roller coaster and will tower 570 feet above Orlando’s I-Drive new entertainment district. The new coaster will accompany the 450-foot SkyFall drop ride, which will rest against the Skyscraper ride. Currently, Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey holds the tallest coaster title with its 456-foot Kindga Ka.

SKYPLEX will occupy 1.5 million square feet and 12 acres to become the largest indoor theme park in Orlando, complete with arcades, simulators, rides, attractions and restaurants.
