Sir Richard Branson, head of Virgin Records, Virgin Airlines, Virgin America, Virgin Hotels and the new Virgin Cruises, descended upon Miami today to reveal new details about the much-anticipated Virgin Cruises concept.

Originally, the only details about Virgin Cruises is that it will build and create two $1 billion ships.

“We plan to shake up the cruise industry and deliver a holiday that customers will absolutely love,” said Branson in a media statement. “They’ll be sailing on the latest ships offering a great quality, a real sense of fun and many exciting activities all delivered with the famed Virgin service.”

Branson’s announcement revealed Virgin Cruises will instead be building three ships. The first ship will debut in 2020, followed by an additional ship each year. Each ship will feature 1,430 cabins and while itineraries and ports have yet to be announced, the Miami announcement hints at Miami becoming its port of departure in 2020.
