Everyone’s favorite Ogre will be the theme of a new DreamWorks theme park opening in London in 2015. In a collaboration with Merlin Entertainment, Shrek and his friends, Donkey, Puss and Fiona, will be the stars of the new, 20,000-square-foot “Shrek’s Far Far Away Adventure.”

Merlin is Europe’s largest attraction operator and is creating the park to be an interactive adventure, with a character courtyard to meet with Shrek, his friends, and characters from other DreamWorks Animation movies, such as the cast of “Madagascar,” “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Kung Fu Panda.” The park will be situated at County Hall, along with Merlin’s other London attractions, the London Eye, London Dungeon and London Sea Life Aquarium. Merlin also operates LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and Madame Tussauds.

Said Merlin Entertainment’s Chief Executive, Nick Varney, “Merlin’s expertise in delivering memorable days out for visitors and DreamWorks’ skill in developing globally recognized entertainment franchises will be a winning combination.”
