Southwest Airlines has announced it will begin offering flights to Hawaii on March 17, 2019, with introductory rates as low as $49 for flights booked by March 5!
The inaugural flight will depart from Oakland International Airport (OAK) to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) on Oahu; the second inaugural flight is scheduled for April 7 from Oakland International Airport to Kahului Airport (OGG). In May, Southwest will begin offering service between Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) and Oahu and Maui.
Interisland service will also be offered, with four flights daily (in either direction) to Oahu and Maui; this service will begin on April 28. Flights between Oahu and Ellison Onizuka International Airport at Keahole (KOA) on Hawaii Island will be offered shortly thereafter.
