Starbucks Makes Its Way into Disney

While it may seem Starbucks can be found on every corner, the world-famous coffee shop has not operated its own location within Disney – until now. While Starbucks coffee has been available through Disney-operated coffee and snack shops, Starbucks recently opened its first company-owned locations within Disney World and Disneyland resorts.

The new 4,000-square-foot Orlando Starbucks is located in Downtown Disney and is a certified LEED green space with a roof garden of lemon grass and an interior logo art wall made of moss. The environmentally friendly location is also high-tech, featuring a 70-inch display panel that connects Disney World customers with those at the Disneyland Starbucks in California, which is also located at Downtown Disney. The new location is also green and features an exterior wall made of 1,000 plants in the shape of a coffee cup.

Starbucks plans to open an additional location at Disneyland and Disney World, as well as Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney Hollywood Studios.
