Sun Valley, Idaho, is kicking off its 80th ski season next month with new and enhanced services and amenities.

Officially launching the 2015-16 ski season Nov. 26, Sun Valley is one of three U.S. resorts to join the Mountain Collective Pass. This pass offers access to 12 dream ski destinations with more than 48,000 skiable acres. The resort also welcomes more direct flights from five major cities to provide 13 percent more capacity for air travel. Direct flights from Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle and Los Angeles will be available.

Guests looking to visit Sun Valley may want to check out the renovated Sun Valley Lodge. The newly completed renovation maintains the character of the original 1936 lodge with modern amenities and more spacious guest rooms. Five new luxury suites have been added, named for famous guests who have visited the lodge, including Ernest Hemingway, Marilyn Monroe and Clint Eastwood. Also new to Sun Valley is a 20,000-square-foot Spa at Sun Valley, with 15 treatment rooms and a number of wellness treatments, as well as a fitness center and yoga studio.

Sun Valley boasts 2,154 acres of skiable terrain on Bald and Dollar mountains, and 3,400 continuous vertical feet on Bald Mountain. It’s 120-day ski season kicks off on Thanksgiving.
