Times Square Just Got Free, Public Restrooms — and They’re Themed

Just in time for the holiday season, Charmin has opened something Times Square previously lacked: free, public restrooms.

What’s better? The new restrooms are themed. Themes include “Under the Sea,” “Mount Everest,” and “Poostand” (news stand). Throughout the holiday season, tourists can expect to see special guests near the bathrooms, offering everything from bathroom jokes to live singing performances.

There are 14 restrooms total, located at Broadway between 48th and 49th streets. The Charmin restrooms will be open between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily through Dec. 24, 2017.
