Walt Disney World Resort may be opening two new family- and budget-friendly properties at its West Gate if proposed plans are approved. Marriott has submitted plans for a Towneplace Suites and Springhill Suites to be located at Flamingo Crossings.

The properties are each all-suite properties, providing separate living and sleeping areas. Springhill Suites features small refrigerators and microwaves in a kitchenette, while Towneplace Suites are better suited for longer stays with a full-size kitchen. Both also provide free Internet and hot breakfast daily, and Springhill Suites traditionally welcomes pets. The two hotels will share a pool, gym and bar and grill in between the properties, creating a more resort-like atmosphere.

The hotels will be located off of the Disney property line, so guests of the hotels will not have access to Extra Magic Hours or Disney shuttle service. No opening dates have been announced at this time.
