United Airlines announced plans to allow passengers to watch movies and television shows on their Apple laptops, tablets and mobile devices – for free!
The new amenity will begin next month with passengers who use iPad, iPod or iPhone benefiting from the service. Apple users will need to download a United Airlines app, which will provide the ability to plug in on flights without having to purchase Wi-Fi. The airline hopes to have the service available on all domestic flights by the end of the year.
Unfortunately, passengers with other mobile operating systems, including Android and Samsung Galaxy, will not receive the service, as the device platforms are not yet compatible.
